NCE & SWE Mentorship Program
The NJIT Section of SWE has launched a “Mentorship Program” in collaboration with Newark College of Engineering (NCE) in November 2012. Through this program, we intend to bring together faculty, industry professionals, graduate and undergraduate students as well as high school students under one roof. By participating in the program, you can obtain valuable guidance and build networks useful for your long-term professional careers. At the same time, you give back to the community by being a mentor to another person.
Benefits of the Mentorship Program:
Positive support group
Course selection advice by upperclassmen.
Provide valuable information for professional development for mentees
Boost your resume.
Industry Professionals can get their company name known throughout the NJIT community.
- Networking for:
- Graduate school applications (for BS/MS students).
- Job opportunities (for BS/MS/PhD students and postdocs).
An information packet with an overview of program and details of your specific roles and benefits is attached below. Interested candidates are requested to fill out the form on Page 3 of the attached document. Please send the completed form to Priya Santhanam (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Marina St Val (email@example.com) to be considered for the program.
Remember: An involvement of this nature not only provides you a support system, but also looks good on your resume. We look forward to hearing from you!
